U High takes down Newman 49-13. Tough outing for the highly touted recruit.

If his last name was different he’d be a 3*.

3 stars is generous. He wouldn’t turn a single head if he wasn’t Manning

Lord help UT if they hitch there wagon to this kid for the next four years

He will never play for Texas. Bookmark this post. He will never beat out Quinn. And will transfer somewhere else.

The media has hyped this kid up so much that there’s no way he’ll live up to it.

He may start his college career at Texas but it won’t end there

Define “run”. What did they accomplish? I honestly feel sorry for the kid. He has completely unrealistic expectations to try to live up to.

Meh very few people are upset he’s going OOS. Definitely not the nuclear meltdown LSU fans have had over other recruits.

He isn't even Peyton or Eli's kid.

Saying that, I hope he fails spectacularly just because I am tired of hearing the name Manning.

The Manning curse continues, no state championships won.

ETA: Most do not know but his brother Heid Manning is also on the team. He is a junior and plays center and guard. What are the odds he also gets a scholarship to Texas?

Can’t wait to watch him be an average CUSA QB in a couple years.

I realize that, but it doesn’t change the expectations. When you weigh the hype against what he’s actually done, he seems to be set up for failure. If/when it happens, the hype machine will simply be on to the next one.

I was at the game to watch Uhigh. Arch had a rough go of it last night but he has NOTHING around him. He's big, very athletic and has a cannon. Uhigh pinned their ears back and just swarmed him all night. He'll be fine once he gets some players around him. Having said that, I hope Texas is terrible with him.

More TDs than Peyton and more passing yards than Eli while at Newman. I’d say that’s a good start. Sorry y’all are so butthurt over a high school kid.
