My point was y’all ALL thought the exact opposite of them two posts I quoted when the trade and Zion stuff were going down. Now y’all are using them as excuses and gotchas, smh.

Hang on man, do you NOT change your beliefs when new information becomes available?
How fricking insane would it be for me to still think that Griffin is awesome or that Boston was offering Tatum when we know those things to be factually inaccurate at this point?
The truth is that the Lakers gave up a HUGE amount of shite for a guy who was never going anywhere else, and they did it by negotiating with a below average GM. These are just facts.

We have Ingram and still have a bunch of picks/swaps coming while Lebron dies before our eyes.
We turned Zo into a decent guy but our GM is just terrible at getting value for things.
If we were rolling out Ingram/Zo/Garland with Josh Hart off the bench with those assets, it would be historic trade rape

Griffin's career highlight was somehow squeezing all that value from the Lakers for AD. It gave us a false sense of his overall skills. Since that trade, he's shown to be exceptionally incompetent.
Ed Orgeron won a national title. He's got about an 85 IQ and pulled that off. Outlier shite happens in life.

AD is not playing well by any objective measure. Do you really think he is?

If there was any hand wringing about the deal it was because:
- we didn’t want to cave to the Klutch/Lebron/Lakers hijacking
- we believed the (false) rumors that Tatum was available
- it took time for draft pick details to leak
- Ingram’s health was still a major question mark
Your argument is that Louisiana sports fans deserve a “smh” when all we’ve done is respond appropriately to developing information, which is very strange since it’s a normal and healthy way to approach shite.

There ain’t nothing normal about you folks

No doubt about that
But in this case it would be way fricking weirder to still think Griffin is killing it and that we didn’t get good value for a guy who had us over a barrel.

The Pelicans refuse to resign their best talent. They are a bad basketball organization that isn't all-in on winning. That's why AD wanted out. Well, and that ring too.

I don't think there were any better offers in reality. Circulating as rumors in the media and Twittersphere? sure.
Also nobody expected that sort of pick haul. It was historic and reset the market entirely
The biggest issues were (1) Ingram's health and (2) Zo's value/attitude. Ingram has been healthy and Zo forced his way out as expected. So the worries weren't unfounded.

Are you talking about Zo?
1. He's nowhere close to our "best" talent
2. He chose to sign with Chicago and let it be known he didn't want to be in Nola. So you think it would be wise to overpay for him while he acted like a malcontent? That's the biggest issues with the Pellies?
