wouldn't that make you the bandwagoner if you are pulling for the rays now that they are good?

Pulling for a team doesn't mean you're a fan.

I don't really have a favorite NBA team!! I just say that the NBA title was won because of D-Wade!!!! You are the one with a Dirk complex!!

I hate the Rays because I know this one kid who has annoyingly jumped on their bandwagon and went as far as to buy a Kazmir jersey and a hat. Dude had been a Jays fan for years too.

That's a great reason to hate them.

atleast they could sellout their stadium.

Go to ticketmaster, and try to find some tickets for tonight's or tomorrow's game.

Good luck

I thought that was funny too lol, I don't think there's a bigger bandwagon than the Red Sox.

He has nasty stuff, but his little song and dance before each pitch makes me crazy! I can't watch him any more.

Been a fan of the Red Sox since 86. Yes a lot of fans have jumped on the bandwagon, but that comes with success and national exposure, of which the Red Sox have had plenty of both recently.

Of course I'm rooting for the Sox, but let me ask you this. What percentage of each fan base is:

Bandwagon Fans
and Diehard Fans

I'm going to guess that for Tampa it is 80% bandwagon and for Boston it is 60 percent diehard. I never knew there was such a thing as a Tampa Rays fan until this year and oh yeah, Dickie V.

I would go with 80% diehard for the Sox!! They have a following across the country!! I would still like to see the Rays win just because!! Madden has done one of the BEST jobs in Major League HISTORY!!!

There might have been a lot of diehard Sox fans pre '04, but they didn't crawl out from under their rocks until they won that WS.

So you have to have been to Boston to be a real fan? Some people just don't have the opportunity.

Didnt say that.......I just think it is funny that the Rays beat the Red Sox and the Yankees.

Both of those teams have one player making more than the entire Rays roster.

I assume you are sacrificing reality just to try to make a point.

The highest salary on the current Red Sox roster for the 2008 season is J.D. Drew at $14 million.

The Tampa bay roster makes more than three times that - $44 million in salaries this season.

The Red Sox team salary is three times the Rays' salary so your premise, in principle, is sound. But your accuracy needs some work.

Definitely pulling for the Sox.

Even though they have a ton of bandwagon fans, it's not as bad as living here in Orlando, and all of a sudden everyone is pulling for the Rays like it's a big deal, when before midseason, I had NEVER heard anyone EVER talk about the Rays.

I'm not.

And for the record, I am far from a bandwagon Red Sox fan...bandwagoners piss me off.
