This much is obvious since you seem to be seeking out the post of people saying it's the most shocking thing they've ever seen.

Multiple posters have said they haven't seen that and you're exaggerating, so it's either that, or you're going out of your way to seek it out, so it does make sense that this annoys you more.

I think a lot of people are arguing completely sepwrste things as well

To get on the same page, what “truly upset” is needs to be defined

1. Reflecting on family and life and sadness over loss of life =seems normal to me

2 True grieving, crying, acting as if a relative passed= weird to me

If anyone thinks 1 is “overboard”, count me in as saying that person is a turd

being impacted emotionally by a celebrity does not mean you "worship" them

its just some dumb truism that serves no purpose other than virtue signaling

That's a bingo.

We're talking about comments in a thread where those comments weren't even made, that's all the evidence you need.

Just another unrelatable NBA guy on my least favorite team. Shocked wore off in 5 mins and my life goes on.

I cried yesterday at work. I woke up early this morning but I didn’t want to get out of bed. I made myself wash clothes but I just feel sad. The same thing happened when Carley McCord passed away.

I can’t stop my thoughts. I have OCD. I feel empty this morning. I see my therapist tomorrow. Maybe that will help ?

of course, that'll always go on on both sides.

And if someone on this board was stating this was the most shocking thing that ever happened to them, I would call it as such. But I haven't seen that level of virtue signaling on this board.

Which makes that poster pointing out that being virtue signaling all the more spot on IMO.

seems weird to complain about posts from other forums and whatnot

why not engage those people and let them explain their thoughts/comments?

I’m with you I don’t get it. Is it because it is the norm for athletes not to be father figures in their kids lives? I would think Kobe expected that of himself and he would be insulted that it’s being made a big deal that he was in his kids lives.

Would it be insulting to your grandfather or your dad if you called them a good/great father? They might be humble and say they're just doing their job, but insulting?

Yeh Mike and Mike was hard to listen to this morning. National media is basically using his death to jerk each other off

The poster didn’t simply say he was a good father

He said how “impressive it was” that he was around
