No, but it's pretty disrespectful if the guy doesn't want to be called Ron Artest.
Although in this situation, MWP/RA doesn't care. His teammates still call him Ron. So it's pretty obvious he doesn't care what people call him.
However, for announcers the name on his jersey says World Peace, and it'd be confusing for new viewers who aren't aware looking for Artest on the floor, when there is no Artest.

If his name is going to have "world peace" in it, then maybe he shouldn't be intentionally throwing elbows.

I think his punishment should also be more severe after his name change.
