Anyone else absolutely hate when announcers call Ron Artest "Meta World Peace"?

His momma call him Clay, Ima call him Clay.

I couldnt care less about what name tv announcers use for a basketball player.

That's a great point that I did not even think of. Since they all insist on calling him Meta World Peace, what if changed his name to something like that?

Is it illegal to change your name to something with an expletive in it?

So you get mad if people say Muhammed Ali? Or Kareem Abdul Jabbar? Or Chad Ochocinco?

Like it or not, his name isn't Ron Artest anymore than Ali is Cassius Clay

I get that legally that's their names. But for the most part, the examples you listed, the names aren't just idiotic phrases designed to be a dumbass, except for maybe Chad Ochocinco.

I just laugh at his name...don't be so serious. Get mad at something that matters.

Ya, I usually go with Ron Artest always. I wish there was one announcer/broadcaster that just called him Ron Artest, and when corrected told them he knows, and he's just not going to call him that.

I just call him the a-hole formerly known as Ron Artest

Doesn't matter if his name is "Smells His Own Farts," it's his legal name.
