Grant had a parent pull his 2 kids off the field and quit in the first inning. Gotta love daddy ball.

I used to coach. But when I read shite like this, I’m glad I walked away. A coach can’t coach anymore without worrying about drama parents cause.

Very disappointing start for Brother Martin. I knew pitching wouldn’t be a strength, but figured they would score some runs for sure.

It’s out of control, this same parent, last time his kid pitched, walked to the dugout at the end of 4 innings and told the coach his kid was done pitching for the day. Coach did what dad told him to. Pathetic

Sounds like the school needs a tougher administration

Well if it’s over pitch count…it’s the parents job to protect the kid from himself and the coach. If kid is coming back from injury or hasn’t had a proper ramp up or been having arm pain then 100% good with parent shutting it down but you don’t handle it by going to them in the middle of the game.

You talk to the coach before the game and explain why you won’t him on a pitch count, what the doctor said etc

Now if coach goes against that after the discussion, then 100% justified going to the coach in the game and saying shut it down.

Y’all want to blame travel ball parents and other bullshite and in a home cases that is true but a lot of this comes from coaches in the past abusing players over and over.

None of your scenarios are accurate in this situation.

I agree my kid is a pitcher and his coaches last year trashed his arm with a very aggressive throwing program and had a history of exceeding safe pitch counts. new coach this year better program and he is the healthiest he’s ever been. But pulling kids in a game sounds like a parent that thinks his kid is better than he thinks and is mad because of playing time.
