The ACC has a decent chance to have half the elite 8. That would be something.

Every thread about the Big 12 (particularly Baylor and UT) you guys dominate the thread before the first page even comes to an end.
I for one, am not concerned one bit about the Aggies.

40% of the acc is in the sweet sixteen
30% of the big 12 is in the sweet sixteen
In the second round, All 9 of those teams played lower seeded teams that beat higher seeded teams in their first round games.

Far be it for me to defend that stain of a program, but I don't get the animosity towards them in this tournament.
If anything, they are a good demonstration of how flawed the RPI is, how the NCAA needs to move away from it, and how much better some of the other advanced stats out there are. They are now sitting 28th in Pomeroy, ahead of fellow S16 teams Notre Dame and Wisconsin.
They have mauled everyone put in front of them. It's not like they're squeaking through on their chinny chin chins. I think they're going to kick Gonzaga's arse this weekend, too, for that matter.
They had a couple of really good wins OOC and two bad losses then slogged through a tough conference slate and were marred by injuries pretty much all year. They're finally healthy and are pretty clearly one of the top 20 or 25 teams in the country.
BTW, Pomeroy definitely would have been useful in this tournament in particular. The PAC 12 seeding fiasco and subsequent collapse would have been foreseen.

I do kind of
when we jock mega-conferences with relatively new teams like Cuse, ND, or Louisville for getting a bunch of teams deep.

The only real reason I care about it is that I wish it helps the committee re-align its priorities and seriously think about changing its selection process.
They place emphasis on the wrong things for the wrong reasons. I think things like the PAC12 collapse and ACC doing well could have been better predicted had the committee done things differently. I think, for instance, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Florida, SDSU, Creighton, and Clemson should have gotten more serious looks over USC, Dayton, Oregon State, and the like. Those were pretty darn good teams that kind of just got lost in the shuffle.

Good thing Bama beat Clemson. Can't have those elitist basketball cocksuckers crowing about running basketball and football
