The Cavs screwed up. He's turnkng into a generational player and Love has serious flaws. They could have been set for a decade and a half, from Lebron to wiggins

While Wiggins has had a great year and has made some considerable improvements, his rookie season is still far from Lebron's and KD's (with obviously time left to grow). Now it's clear that he has shown the potential to be a superstar, but it's a little too early to get into the hyperbole at this point when the two other superstars (that he is compared to) had considerably better rookie seasons and were not on teams near as bad as this Minnesota team (even though Seattle was pretty poor).

OKC trades future MVP candidate James Harden for Jeremy Lamb, 1 year of Kevin Martin, and a draft pick which is Steven Adams.

You seriously think the Cavs are going to win the title this year?

If the cavs don't want to title with Kevin love or he leaves then this is a huge clusterfrick. Also the loss of another 1st round pick.

If Love leaves after this season, it will basically be the worst personnel decision ever.

They would have traded away the #1 overall pick and another 1st round pick for one (bad) season of Kevin Love.

At least in other bad personnel decisions in the past, those teams got to keep the pieces they got in return.

That's another good one.

So dumb by OKC.

I honestly give them a better chance with wiggins. They'd also still have Bennett who actually provides serviceable minutes.

Wiggins can, ya know, play defense

You could easily make the argument that the Cavs would be better right now with Wiggins and Bennett instead of Love.

The Cavs lost a game down to the wire a few days ago in Phoenix. Love's +- was -20 and he didn't play down the stretch.

Watching Love play this year I'm not so sure. His defense is horrible you have to take him out of the game especially when you play the bigs in West. Wiggins plays defense. They could have kept wiggins used the pick to trade for Mozgov (big and defense).

Bill Simmons keeps reminding us about that. But Clay Bennett loves money.

Remember when Kevin Love was a budding superstar on a bad wolves team?

Minnesota will be fun to watch when everyone is healthy. They need a big and another 3/4 but that's it. Rubio/Martin/Wiggins/Young good young players to build a team.

as of now, Wiggins is the same.

The Cavs aren't using Love properly anyway.

I know this isn't a perfect comparison because of the differences in team talent, but if you look at a a stat like real plus minus (RPM), it doesn't really support your assertion.

Love's Offensive Real Plus Minus (ORPM) is 1.74; his Defensive Real Plus Minus (DRPM) is -.06; so his RPM is 1.68.

Wiggins's ORPM is -.145; his DRPM is -1.01; and his RPM is -2.46.

Bennet's ORPM -2.74; his DRPM -2.03; and his RPM is -5.42.

Even though these stats are meant to isolate an individual's PM accounting for the teammates on the floor and players from the opponent on the floor, it's still not perfect because some teams are just considerably better than others.

That being said, Bennet's stats are too bad to ignore.

Yep. Classic bad team good stats guy because someone has to score the points.

Isn't his defensive +/- greatly skewed because of his rebounding?

How are the circumstances different? A bad personnel decision is a bad personnel decision.

Because Hornets actually got pretty good return compared to all the teams who passed on Kobe. Kobe was picked, what, like 12th? How many of the teams who passed on him picked up a better player than Vlade Divac?

Then what does this prove about Wiggins? Love was more considerably more efficient his rookie year on another poor (not as poor though) Minnesota team.

This too.

It's not the same thing at all.

What does that even mean? It's +/-. It just tracks how many points your team scores vs the other team. Real plus-minus just looks at +/- from when you are on the court vs off the court.
