No it wasn't. I watched the segment. He said 100% these were his top 5 Qb's.

Murray is the most overrated QB in the nation followed by Bray.

Bray is possibly the most gifted QB in the nation, but has not proven it.

SportingNews ranked him #3 nationally and some draft sites have him #2 overall next year but I do not see it unless he makes a big jump.

On the flip side, Murray is just not as talented as Barkley, Wilson, Thomas, Bray, and Jones. Throw in Smith and Boyd as well.

I think he was off to a great start last year before Hunter went down. Then of course he had his injuries but if he can stay healthy he can be one of the best QB's in the nation. Kid is very talented.

How's Hunter coming along?

Hunter's ahead of schedule. He's full-go in the spring outside of contact. Most early projections for 2013 have him #2 behind Robert Woods on the WR board.

It obviously helps to have receivers like those two. Plus Da'Rick for Bray and Marquis Lee for Barkley as #2 receivers who are also first round talents.

The two most talented receiving corps in the nation imo from top to bottom are big helps.

ETA: But as I said, Bray will need to prove it. Right now I would have Barkley and Wilson over him for sure and probably Thomas and Smith as well.

I don't agree with McCarron on there. The guy was just a game manager like McElroy was IMO. Alabama was a running team then and will continue to be a running team. So McCarron played a better game in the BCS title, cool. He didn't turn the ball over and threw for like 30 more yards than he did the first time they played LSU. I'm not gonna annoint him just because of that, sorry.

I don't have a problem with Barkley but where is Landry Jones? Should be on there in IMO. They had a lot of injuries last year and I thought he played well despite that. I think Murray is a good QB but Georgia squeaked by with an easy schedule last year and he didn't look as good against the better teams they faced.

Geno's numbers are going to embarrass Bray's

and just to clarify, I only commented on the QB's who I saw the most. I saw Arky play against Alabama and I must say that I was impressed by Tyler Wilson's toughness in that game. I saw parts of the Arky-LSU game but by then it was pretty much over.

Geno had 1709 yards with 12 tds and 3 int in the first 5 games. Bray had 1579 yards with 14 tds and 2 int in the 5 games before he was injured. I wouldn't say his numbers are gonna embarrass Bray's, especially with a move to the Big 12. Also, Bray had 1.5% better completion, so again fairly even.

Best QB rating of any returning BCS QB in the country and he's only going to be a Junior. I'm just really worried about our O-Line. If he got more pub, he would probably be top 3 on most people's lists.

im not saying Bray sucks by any means but Geno is just going to get better in his 2nd year in this system the numbers he put up when he doesn't even fully know the system are amazing

In terms of pure passing talent...arm strength, accuracy, form, release. Bray is probably number 1.

Unfortunately, he's played on a shitty team, and appears to have some character and maturity issues.

After 3 games last year, Kiper and McShay were lauding him as the top QB in this years draft. If he comes out, and plays to his potential he'll be going in the first round this year.
