I love how this isn’t even discussed when all the analysts are nitpicking the play. The only reason Waters even has to take that awkward route to the basket is because that guy is shuffling his left leg into Waters.
The officiating discussion in general is really annoying because you have fans that don’t even try to be unbiased or fair in their opinions, which creates this perception from other fans that people that cry about officiating are crybabies and excuse-makers without even seeing the game themselves. Then you have people like boom, who is a massive fan of Harden, going around trolling in every officiating thread.

ref blamers ARE excuse makers. There were fans ready to blame an LSU loss on the refs like the team didn’t shoot about 25% in the second half. But yea It woulda been the refs had LSU lost. Unreal. And totally pitiful too. Ref blamers are the lowest of the low when it comes to sports fans.

I do think it’s comical that you act like officiating doesn’t influence the outcome of games. Your homerism when it comes to the Rockets is embarrassing considering how much you understand the game of basketball. Going on a war path against the most common complaint against the Rockets is just the latest in a long line.

Oh it does influence games. There’s a massive gap between saying it influences games and people saying that the refs were the deciding factor. What is embarrassing is people only say the refs Were the reason they lose games, they never say the refs were the only reason they won. Gone are the days of accountabilty it’s always someone else’s fault.
