Good get by Cubes for absolutely nothing and if they dump Greg Smith, it will be even better.

Doesn't help us at all on defense the way Brendan Wright did, but hopefully it gives us another PnR option when Tyson is out. I'm definitely ok with more frontcourt depth though. I'd still like to think Amare is a better player than Greg Smith or Bernard James.

He averaged 12 and 6 on the worst team in the league playing with a bunch of D-League guys

If he can stay healthy, he should excel. I imagine he'll play a lot of minutes of the bench at the 5 with Dirk at the 4 and Devon Harris at PG. He'll be very good in the pick and roll offense

That also means he's getting more looks than those terrible players. The Mavs will be different because there is actually ball movement as opposed to NY, but let's not act like Amare is even close to a top player in the league anymore. I'm still happy the Mavs were able to land him though.
