Take the joy out of it? Playoffs are the expectation at this program so sorry if we go every year. If three teams want to beat us they are welcome to set up and do that!

Were things really any different during the 4 team playoffs? It was essentially some combination of Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma, ND, and Georgia most years. There aren’t 12 teams good enough to fill a playoff now if anything it should be reduced to no more than 8.

I know fans are pushing this "conference championships don't matter" narrative. I see it with A&M as well. The reality is, the programs still give a frick. So even if you take out rivalry component, Ohio State wants to win the conference. They can't do that if they lose this game
