Getting Seager's bat at SS is highly valuable to the Dodgers.

Not a comment about your opinion.....just a question brought up by what you said....
If folks say that Ichiro wasn't a true "rookie" because of playing in Japan wouldn't that mean he is the all time "hit king"?
Fwiw, I've always looked at the NPBL as quad-a but with a few major league all star caliber players.
