There are too many high schools to have them all play down in the same tournament, so they split them up.

If my parents would've stayed in Pasadena, I likely could have attended Deer Park HS. I can't fathom going to a school that large (current enrollment ~3700). I attended J.D. Parks Elementary, now Parks, and going from class to the cafeteria was a journey for my 1st grader feet.

I'm surprised my High school is still in this game gotta say seeing as Allen has won 42 straight I expected them to be beating us pretty solid by half.

Allen was sponsored by Nike for the game. Those new cleats are badass.

There are 32 districts in each class. (2a-6a). 1a is 6man. Four teams from each district make the playoffs. Out of those four the two with the biggest student population go d1 and the two smaller go d2. Because of this There have been several teams win state in d2 that had more kids then the d1 champ and one year you could be d1 then the next d2

Allen has close to 6,000 students. The other 3 Plano schools have over 5,000.
Plano and Plano east could make playoffs, and be placed in D2, with over 5,000.

Cedar hill won tonight D2.. Has 2,300 students

They are just under 6k grades 9-12. They have a separate 9th grade campus but it still counts in their overall enrollment
