Alex Bregman, Astros agree to $100 million extension

The Astros and the All-Star third baseman have agreed to a six-year, $100 million contract that will cover his three years of arbitration-eligibility and the first two seasons he could become a free agent.

reading its actually a 5 year extension that kicks in next year.

Beautiful, great for both sides. Bregman gets more than he would’ve gotten in the first 4 years and the Astros save in the last 2 years

yep, plus added security for Bregman. Can't underestimate how much having Bregman's contract locked in for the next 6 years will help management with signings and other negotiations either, getting that ? off the books of dealing with arbitration and his free agency

As a Ranger fan, the dude can suck a dick and talks a lot of shite and I hope he gets his arse kicked one day for it.....but I’m still salty as shite that Houston took him. Otherwise he goes to Texas one pick later.
He is a hell of a player already and I believe his bat will continue to improve.
