Honestly spearing is crazy dangerous and I think should be enforced more. No excuse to lower your head in 2020, I was taught that was dangerous in high school in the mid 90s.

It’s to protect the defender more than anything in these cases. You can still deliver huge hits without compressing your spine like that.

Unfortunately Chucky Mullins isn't here to upvote/ confirm. I love / miss the old school hits , but using the the top of your helmet should never be encouraged.

They don’t make electable calls on Bama players. Saban would belittle them to no end on National TV and they don’t want that.

L1U fan complaining about refs regarding Bama. The sky is blue as well.

And how did McCullough not get ejected for blatant targeting on Devonta in Tennessee game? Freaking selective memory for LSUenvy fans

In the 2016 LSU game, Foster dove head first at a sliding Etling and wasn't called.

That was more egregious than this.

But again, we know why...

I'm fairly certain there are plenty of posts on this site from the years in which Foster played filled with Alabama posters negatively critiquing Foster's tackling technique. It was so bad at one point he would consistently knock himself unconscious.
