Probably an advantage for ANY team with a 17 point lead early in the 3rd quarter. Colts offense is mostly a passing game, so will be tough on them. They need at least 3 scores even if they holds the Patriots scoreless the rest of the way.

I wonder if them make a change to the reporting eligible/ineligible receivers after this year? Seems sort of unfair.

How is it unfair? They literally call over the PA system that NATE SOLDER IS REPORTING AS ELLIGIBLE

Really? I haven't heard it or noticed it at least. I heard in last week's game against BAL that guys were running up to the refs right before the play.
Props to Belichek and McDaniels, but if it's the situation I described, I don't like it very much. Isnt the defense at enough of a disadvantage? If they're announcing over the PA, then I understand.

Teams do it all the time at the goalline. That's how Watt caught most of his TDs this year and how Vrabel caught those Super Bowl TDs. Hell the colts did the exact same play against the Pats in November and scored on it
The situations last week with the Ravens were reporting players as ineligible, which they don't announce, but NFL teams are supposed to know the rules that make a WR eligible
