The paternity of the kid was in question. Are you banging any chicks that might have had some other dude's kid?

Bottom line IMHO, when he said he would practice and play on Sunday it showed he barely knew his son.

Meh. Some players find solace in getting back to the field. No different then someone finding solace in work after the death of a close family member. I remember Joe Jurevicius playing in the NFC Championship game and the SB all while his infant son who later died was fighting for his life.

I have lost a good deal of respect for AP. As it appears to me, AP knocked this kids mom up and split. Probably only saw this kid a few times a year, if that. AP is in a difficult PR situation. He barely knew this son and had little attachment to him but he needs to act like he is in deep mourning to the public.

According to the information provided by the mom's friend. AP and the woman had brief relationship until the mom moved out of town. AP did not know she was pregnant. The mom did not even know who the father was;. Even after the little boy was born, She still was unsure who his daddy was. AP was ot named as the father on the baby's birth certificate.

From all accounts thus far, the mom had paternity test done that confirmed that AP was the father. No information has been released to indicate whether AP ever got to meet the little boy to try and build a relationship with him or not.

Even though this was his son, it seems that AP is reacting like the rest of are--appalled and horrified that someone would beat a baby like this. He may not feel how I would feel if it were my son because I have loved and cared for him since was born. AP did not know this little boy the way he did the son that we have seen in the pictures. Therefore, I will give him a pass on however he chooses to deal with this tragic situation.

The last thing that people should be doing is losing respect for AD. The focus should be on what a disgusting frick the dude is who did this to an infant.

I dont like that the picture of APs son on the football field is being floated around all over the place

I dont want to be a dick or anything to people that post it, but i think its a little unfair to all of those involved to have that picture be the one floating around when thats not the child that died. Really shitty situation

The best way to honor that kid is to get out and play for him. In a time like he is having I would want to fall into structure and be with people I know care about me. That's what his team is to him. God bless him and his family.

I haven't checked in here since way earlier, and I am sure this has been discussed, but why is he smiling and happy in his interview? I know people deal with grief differently but WTF? He seemed like he was having a great day?

Where are you seeing this reaction? He was happy in the interview I saw. Here it is: LINK. Like I said we all deal with grief differently but I lost respect for him after watching this!

Peterson had a child and the baby mama's boyfriend shook the baby causing brain damage and he died. The thug that did it is in jail.

It is not AP junior that passed away (Peterson's boy that he has been photo'd with)

Rumors are that Peterson only recently found out he was father of the child that passed. Not confirmed when he knew.

How can he even remotely consider playing tomorrow?

I mean maybe not so much the fact that he is playing, but how quickly he said that he was playing right after the tragedy happened.

Horrible tragedy and that fricker deserves a horrible death, but AP seems a bit odd in all of this. If what many are saying is true then he likely had next to no relationship with the child to begin with.

That's the annoying thing and what the media does best in spinning shite around. I've already seen 4 people on Facebook post pictures like the one above of AP and his child (who they assume is the one that was tragically killed).

AP had some side pussy or a one night stand and that was the mother of the child. The media will turn this into a huge sob story for AP when it should be a sob story for the child.
