Another problem, but regarding Chhristians forced to fund abortion is a form of bigotry IMO.
We have to pay for something we are against?
Melvin,
The reason I bring this up is because the next step is forcing the Church to sanction and perform Gay marraige. What happens when the refuse?
They lose their tax exempt status. I don't understand how you fail to see the endgame on this.
Eta: I'm not even that religious anymore, but I see and understand what this is leading too

I 100% agree with this statement but for some reason you think I'm a bigot
I don't think you're a bigot i'm just trying to point out the inconsistency of behavior and your unwillingness to take a stand on the issue.

You sure like to throw words around that you don't mean...words that some would label as hateful. But I guess that doesn't count since you're the one doing it correct?

I'm so glad the 49ers lost in the Super Bowl

If you were trying to come across as an intolerant bigot, you succeeded.

Up with hope, down with anything that doesn't agree with your personal beliefs, am I right?

Not you, SDVTiger's statement

So basically you're opinion is that implicating homosexuality as a negative is not big deal? Correct? Because you do realize that's pretty much the definition of bigotry, right?

But he is tolerant lol

Wouldn't the statement "to each his own" completely contradict Adrian's personal beliefs?
Posted on 5/27/13 at 5:07 pm to Fearthehat0307
Exactly and the entire thing I was referring to was SDVTiger's multiple statements that no one challenged and one poster for sure agreed with.
I'm trying to get y'all to think outside of your box a little bit. Regardless of whether or not you think homosexuality is a sin we should be striving to live in a world without active prejudice, shouldn't we? And to that end using slurs in the manner that SDVTiger did should be looked upon harshly should it not?

He's extremely tolerant of everyone who agrees with him. That's the definition of a bigot.

Comes out guns blazing in regards to a differing personal opinion in response to a question. Insults the geographical location of the majority of the posters on here, calls them all bigots for not having his back(many of which agree with his general feelings on the bigger picture), leaves with his tail between his legs. All in the name of tolerance.

quote:no not exactly you can't say I fit the definition of a bigot then say you don't think i'm a bigot and say that you are being consistent.
Exactly
quote:there are legit times when slurs are used in a hostile manner that we should be enraged about. sdvtiger's was so mild that if you took offense to it then you need thicker skin. I really doubt even a gay person would even give two shits or even bat an eyelash at that comment

My entire issue with the gay movement. It's comical.
