The ACC is considering moving its headquarters from Greensboro. Charlotte would make a lot of sense. Can't see it really going to one of those places like Boston or NYC. Possibly Atlanta or DC area, but Charlotte makes the most sense.

Charlotte is a no-brainer.

They might as well move it to Tuscaloosa

What's he point in moving a conference headquarters?
I'd be fairly certain 90% of job functions a conference office does could be done through Zoom meetings anyway

In this case, it might be that the new commissioner just doesn’t want to live in Greensboro. And it’s another sign how Tobacco Road has lost its grip on the ACC.

It’s about the white collar out-of-towners thinking Greensboro just isn’t cool enough.

In this day and age, I'm not sure it matters where these types of workers are. They could get a PO box and tell everybody to work from home and I'm not sure it'll make a difference.

This is the correct answer. Greensboro isn't cosmopolitan enough for a lot of them. Charlotte is pretty boring to me. Given a choice, I would rather hang out in Greensboro.

No knock on your opinion here, but it’s funny coming from a Syracuse fav given Boeheim’s comments about Greensboro when he went to his first ACC tournament. He was unimpressed.

Yeah, Boeheim is wrong in this case. That was Jim being cantankerous old man Jim. Greensboro and the surrounding area has a lot of charm and hidden gems.

It's not coming to Atlanta with our new, racist voting laws

Which is absolute bullshite, but that's an argument on another board.
