Boone has never been capable. He was a terrible analyst. Dont know how why he got the job. He cant manage egos. And tweaks what worked in the regular season too much come playoff time.
But it also doesnt help Judge shitting the bed in October, whenever the Yankees do make the playoffs.

The Yankees are not a good team...
Behind Judge, you have a singles hitter in Goldschmidt, a stoner in Bellinger, and the Wells, Volpe, Peraza, Vivas, DJ, and Reyes absolutely suck.
You have Fried and Rodon, whom neither I would trust in a big game, followed by Schmidt (who I like), Warren, and who the frick knows.
They are good enough to win the AL East and all because the AL is the weaker of the two, but they need to make improvements to beat the Dodgers, Cubs, and Phillies
