There just is not much support for Tech athletics from students or alumni. There is tje small percentage of die hard fans, but many just dont care or would rather lay for LSU tickets.

If so, then everything else is < meh. The Sandbar and Chicky's just don't really do it for me. I like Stray Cats and Chicago but hate going downtown in general because I stay out too late, spend too much money, and get way too drunk

Where are you getting this from? Tech has been increasing their home attendance for the past 4 years...I think they're averaged 24,000 last season. Not bad for a school of less than 12,000. And this is playing WAC teams... I think it'll increase with more regional play in USA.

What about when Rice, Tulsa, and SMU were in the WAC (now your CUSA-mates)? Even Boise should have drawn considerable home crowds for you guys.

If you can't get fan support through winning, what do you have to do? It's just an unfortunate situation your program is dealing with.

Edit: SMU is now Big East. Lo siento.

If you dont think Tech struggles with attendance, then you are seriously lying to yourself.

BTW, Im a Tech grad and fan. I know attendance is rising, but we still have a long way to go before we will ever be taken even remotely serious in the CFB world.

Why the frick does every tech, lala, or ulm thread turn into this? Nobody outside of LA cares about any of these schools and nobody ever will. Just accept it. The infighting is pointless, winning a gold medal at the special olympics is great but it doesn't change the fact that you are retarded.

Good thing this is a Louisiana-based board then.

Willow is going to be so mad when UL wins in Stillwater.

Maybe you should start going to more Tech games then & less LSU.

I searched on wiki and got this:

quote:

University of Louisiana may refer to:

University of Louisiana System, public multi-campus university system

University of Louisiana at Lafayette, which was briefly named "The University of Louisiana" (without suffix) in 1984

University of Louisiana at Monroe
