Yea but not number 2.

College football is not their number 2 sport.

So it's still behind the NBA and NHL.

Meh, I don't know. There are a lot of huge Big Ten football fans around. That's not including the Notre Dame fans everywhere.
If people don't like college football up here, it's usually because they prefer the NFL or they don't like sports at all. I certainly wouldn't put a clear number two ahead of it, except for maybe baseball.

For comparison, FBS college football is still well short of the revenue generated by Major League Baseball ($8 billion) and the NFL ($6 billion), but it is in the neighborhood of the NBA (~$5 billion) and the NHL ($3.7 billion).
Not really a fair comparison because college football plays far fewer games than any of those leagues. Of course MLB or NBA/NHL is going to have more revenue when they play 162 or 82 regular season games compared to CFB only playing 12. More games = more revenue from ticket sales, concessions, parking, and media rights.

MLB had revenues of 10.3 billion in 2018.

Where is up here?
I've been to chicago during football season.
A LOT of ND fans I'll admit that but there was much more talk around the Cubs, Blackhawks and Bulls. (of course Bears but that's clear #1)

frick Dundon.
League didn't deserve to end like this.
If this article is even halfway true, isn't it a lot more "frick Ebersol"?
They rushed into the league with a plan or backing, almost had to fold after week 1 and then he tried to undercut and force out the guy that saved them.

By our count, 44 players from the eight-team AAF have signed with NFL teams over the last week. While the over/under for AAF players who make final 53-man rosters may indeed be 1.5, a large chunk of the now-defunct league will get a chance to stick at the next level.
The fact that so many of these players quickly landed in the NFL underscores the reality that securing the ability to borrow NFL players who sign “futures” deals after the end of a given season would have done little or nothing to save the AAF. Indeed, the AAF already had 44 bottom-of-roster NFL players on its teams, and it didn’t matter.
It didn’t matter because the AAF ultimately failed because it didn’t have sufficient funding. And those various claims from the past year that the AAF had sufficient funding will fuel plenty of legal proceedings, which already have begun.

Like I've said before, it made no sense for Dundon to claim the AAF immediately needed NFL practice squad players to survive. The only way it could have helped is if he wanted to use every single signed practice squad player (8-10 per the 32 teams during the regular season) and then not have to pay them since they were already on NFL contracts which something the NFLPA would have never agreed to.

Now the AAF is blocking players from going to the CFL bc they view unpaid player contracts as an asset in bankruptcy hearings

This just keeps getting worse. Dundon truly is a shitbag.

AAF players can tell the league to get fricked unless they somehow make payroll. Not honoring the financial terms of the contract make it null and void.

Unfortunately the CFL won't sign anyone until they are released b/c they don't want to get involved in a lawsuit.

I could see there being a late signing period similar to NFL cuts.
That being said most of the AAF would be backups or practice squad while they adjust to the Canadian game.

Tom Dundon is a real cocksucker. All the AAF players need to hell him to kiss their asses. They owe him nothing.

If one doesn’t play games, how are those contracts considered assets?
They going to try and get the CFL to purchase the contracts like this is a fricking soccer transfer?
