Not sure if he is completely done, but the way this happened he will get a plaque in monument park, be able to participate in all Yankees activities, work as an advisor for the Yankees, etc. all things that seemed like they would never happen prior to last year.

He will still get paid his full salary which is nice as well. I think they should keep him on as a coach, he has a ton of knowledge and works with the Yankees youngsters during spring training to help them.

I wouldn't want a POS like a-rod around young players.

Mark McGwire is coaching

Alex is one of the greatest and extremely baseball smart, I'd want him to teach my younger guys

Why? He is a POS because of the steroids?
Too much has been made of him being selfish cocky, I mean he was willing to reduce salary to go to Boston, he switched positions to play for the Yankees, he has been less than selfish.
He is a student of he game with a lot of knowledge like Bonds. He can help players.

Arod has stated he doesn't want to be a coach. He'll finish out next year doing whatever the Yankees want him to do and will either sign with another team or go into TV.
