A Message For Pete Carol

From the Houston Chronicle....
"The University of Southern California Trojans, the fifth-ranked Trojans, are now whining, too?
USC made a statement on the field with a nice 38-24 victory over Penn State in the Rose Bowl.
Its head coach made a statement about Oklahoma and Florida — the two teams that will play in next week’s BCS national championship game — in the postgame news conference.
“With all due respect — those are two great programs — I don’t think anybody can beat the Trojans,” USC coach Pete Carroll said.
Really? I think somebody could.
Not that I’m psychic, but I bet Oregon State could beat you. In fact, I bet if you went to Corvallis and played the Beavers, they might come out of that contest with a 27-21 victory. I’ve seen Jacquizz Rodgers play, and I’d bet he could rush for 180 yards — oh, make it 186 — and a couple of touchdowns in a game against your Trojans, Coach."

Pete Carroll's douchebaggery has long been established.

With USC's talent and schedule...they should automatically have to go undefeated in order to be eligible for the NC.

Jesus you idiots. What is the guy supposed to say ? "Boy, I'm sure glad we lost to Oregon St, because OU and Florida would hand us our arse."
If LSU were in the same position, you jerkoffs would be LIVID if Miles wasn't saying the same things that Carol is saying.

No, he's doing what every coach in his position would/should be saying.

And has won 7 straight BCS bowl games. And before you start, USC would have beaten LSU in 2002,2004,2005,and 2008!!!

Oregon State can and did, don't think it was a fluke, they were simply outplayed by the Beavers.
One-Pete does this shite every year. His team wins that damn stupid Rose Bowl every year over a pathetic Weak 11 team, and all of a sudden One-Pete thinks his team is a bunch of world-beaters.

They also had the greatest college football team of all time in 2005 according to the media and experts, until TEXAS beat that arse.

Probably.
USC has the best talent in the country. They have the best players from a talent rich state in CA, and they hand pick mercenaries from around the country. Florida, LSU and several others have the best talent from a geographic region.
For some reason, they shite the bed a game or two each season, which there is absolutely no reason to, and that's the coach's responsiblity to get them all up for each and every game. I think that's the only problem with Carroll...he lets his players lose focus too often.

Doesn't EVERY coach have this?????

That statement reminds me of when Leinart was quoted on nat'l TV after losing to Texas that they were clearly the better team. It may be true, but it really isn't necessary.

Do you really think that ole Petey has to defend himself/remarks?
When you walk on water like him, the media falls in line.

Well, their biggest advantage is their biggest hurdle too.
USC has no excuse to lose in conference and expect anything other than what they got. If they had a CCCG then I'd be more forgiving

Yep. It's hard to keep 18-22 year olds focused all the time. If that's his biggest problem, I have a feeling USC will be a dominant program as long as he's there.
