Been playing good d all day and you have 2 timeouts, why not just kick it. This isn't XBOX damnit
Posted on 8/30/14 at 2:17 pm to LosLobos111
Should have thrown the ball all 3 times once getting inside the 20 then took a fg if it got to a 4th and long scenario
Posted on 8/30/14 at 2:17 pm to LosLobos111
if the backup starts this game UVA wins by 10

They've should've kicked a FG
They would've had a solid chance of getting i back again with uclas struggles.

I wish we played UCLA instead of Boise St

London's got to be on thin ice after this one.
They had a legitimate chance to win this. Great play by his D, but allowing UCLA's defense to score 3 times and then those awful decisions on the last drive really did them in.

Not surprised UCLA was sloppy....they'll get it together. They won't make the playoff, but they'll have a good year.

That one DE with the super African name might have broken Bo Wallace's neck

I am not pro London and I am still saying WTF to this post.
How do you mid call a fumble and a tip pass for pick?

I wasn't saying the turnovers were completely on him, but they still had a chance to take the game to OT. When it's 3rd and long in scoring territory with 4-ish minutes left, how do you run the ball there?
Don't get me wrong, it was a good effort by UVA, but I'd be upset with that playcalling if I were a Cavs fan.

UCLA is not very good. Face it.
I saw this coming. And said as much. And it wasn't just a rival talking - it was knowing the program as a rival. Yet all the blowhards who read national magazines...jumped on UCLA's bandwagon in our preseason predictions on here.
UCLA's D is solid...but the "Hundley coming back championship" storyline - which promoted UCLA to high preseason rankings was a joke.
He's not that good and never was. But he had a great bowl game and well, "the last thing I saw" syndrome.
UCLA's offense stinks...no imagination, same shite they did last year.
They will lose at least 3 games in the Pac-12 if not become a total bust 5-6 games.
I told everyone on here weeks ago.
UCLA in the frontrunner/favorite role is a bad bet. They always have been. They shrink under pressure. If much is expected - they collapse. If nothing is expected - they rise to the occasion.
They live for the upset - but can't stand the spotlight and pressure of being favored. That is their entire history in football. It's their DNA. You can't outrun your campus football culture and fans and DNA - just because you have a new coach.

Nah, UCLA will be fine, not too worried once our starting Center gets back. Most of that game can be placed on our center missing. Bad communication and assignments by the O-Line.
Hundley is who he is, which is a good solid college QB, to say he isn't that good is dishonest. His problems have and always will be 1. inability to consistently hit a receiver on a
crossing route in stride
2. Sometimes relies too heavily on his arm for the long ball, so instead of getting air under it he throws it too flat,
3. When under pressure he goes to his running too quickly, needs to use his scrambling ability to set up the pass to the wide open receiver down the field.
Anyways, UCLA will be fine. Get back to me after the Texas game.

London is also responsible for recruiting the athletes that kept uva in the game in the first place. Sure there was some head scratchers in play calling and decision making.... same can be said to any les miles coached game.
As once famously said: college football is won by Jimmys and Joe's. Prior to London, uva only had Larry's, curleys, and moes.
This game only strengthens my belief he is the coach they need.
