You have 0 clue if that’s true.
You said they weren’t the top team. I suppose that’s practically correct, but often the best team doesn’t win. .Hell, they were in the runner up in 5A in 13, semis in 16 quarters in 17 and 18 and 21.
Catholic lost in the semis last year. They were probably the best team in the state. It’s baseball. It happens.
But I see you’re one of those who can’t admit when they’re wrong, so I regress. No point in arguing with a wall. Even though I do agree that Zachary has seen it’s better days.

I haven’t been wrong. You claimed they were #1 in the country - at no point were they ranked that high.
I stated they weren’t the best team in 5A and that still stands true as they have never won a 5A (Division I Non-Select) state championship.

You lose the ability to make that argument when Catholic loses 8-2 to the #13 seed Rummel.

Lol I said #1. They were 4. I apologize.
Sorry my brain is big enough to realize that in sports, the best team does not always win the championship. Anyways, back to the coaching carousel.
Edit to add: I do believe they were #1 in the maxpreps poll, which is a fair assumption being they lost in the quarters and still finished 10th. I’m sorry that high school baseball poll doesn’t live up to your prestige. Here you are. Scroll down to Zachary at 3. They were the #1 team in the country in the maxpreps computer poll. Knew they were #1 somewhere.

Zachary was definitely the #1 seed with Milazzo one of the years we were 32... got to look it up but i'm pretty sure they have 5A titles
ok nm they didn't... they won titles in 4A... but they were on the short list of best teams in the state in any class about 5-10 years ago...
i just thought it was something how everyone thought their ISD model was superior...

I’m not sure which year he graduated. The 18 team is the only time they ever had the 1 seed. I think in program history it’s the only time, but would have to go back and look. Believe Alex graduated the year before.

Any clue what the talent will look like there or which AP school is going to feel the most pain from them opening?

That only leaves two schools. Dunham or Parkview. Episcopal also but I can't see them letting Bourgeois go without it being on his own terms or just to focus on football.
Doyle is dIII also

I’d think it would hurt St Amant especially if they lose their coach to Central. Prarieville took a bite out of the STA enrollment.

Is that who is going to central?? Hadn’t heard.
Posted on 5/21/24 at 7:53 pm to BlackJack02
I know the St Amant coach interviewed there but that’s as far as I know. I don’t think central has made a decision or at least hasn’t announced anything. Lots of moving parts in 5-5A right now
Posted on 5/21/24 at 8:08 pm to noon0707
Yea. That central job is the best out there. Once that fills, the parts will fall into place.

Central is too political and daddy ball. They recently won back to back state championships (beat us denham) then ran the coach out cause people wanted Leo
Posted on 5/21/24 at 8:39 pm to denhamtiger
Oh I agree it’s super political, but there was more to Forbes getting run out than that lol. I agree 100% though and I think that’s why they’re striking out on so many potential candidates.

Someone in AP better break out the big bucks then to keep Bravata at St. Amant. I’m not sure how that works, but I’m sure the school board is involved, which means St. Amant won’t be able to compete with Central salary wise.
Would be a huge shake up.

Jason Kinchen to Denham?? Heard that rumor today!
Posted on 5/21/24 at 8:55 pm to tigerball9
If it’s the Kinchen from CP, that would be a great hire.
Posted on 5/21/24 at 8:58 pm to sta4ever
He’s had solid teams the last 3-4 years, STA needs to work this out

The STA coach interviewed at Central. Nothing yet but its possible he’s leaving
