Based off of 2017 school performance scores, the only public high schools on NO ranked higher than Karr and Easton were:
Ben Franklin
NOMMA
NOCCA
Livingston Collegiate Academy
Lusher

These schools, including Karr and WE are the only ones who received an A. There is also a huge gap b/w these schools and the rest.

Sad watching what the principals have done to the prep classic. 4A game on Saturday used to have the bottom two sections filled.

Now just a bunch of empty seats

^^
This.

Easton and Karr are actually both very good schools academically.

I’m assuming them being black schools in NOLA is the reason why that dumb arse poster assumed they were shite schools.

can't really blame this on the split much bc both teams would probably be there anyway

It is the split that did this. Even with a Karr-Easton 4A game the bottom two levels would be packed. Casual fans stopped going to the Dome once the split happened.

I could also see St Thomas More knocking off both of these teams. Curtis also, if they would have stayed 4A

A Curtis-West Monroe 5A game would have drawn a ton of fans.

I think Karr has a white guy playing on the offensive line.

I could be wrong.

1. I'm black
2. A 60% reading proficiency means it's a shite school
3. You should've said "I’m assuming them being any type of schoos in NOLA is the reason why that dumb arse poster assumed they were shite schools.
You'd be right

maybe take the games off of tv... And ban all forms of social media from the Dome. I haven't watched a single snap this weekend

Taking the games off TV won’t change anything. Per game average went down drastically across the board the year they split

Most schools are losing money from the Dome now.

lets say you're a fan of a team playing... That would make you less likely to go? And if you're a so called casual fan? The Saturday format is essentially unchanged.

I think the playoffs are too long... Cut every nonselect bracket down to 16 and add another regular season game. That would make districts matter again since there won't be many wildcards left after all the district champs get spots.

Nah the casual fan stopped going because it cost $50 to park, $50 in food, plus whatever ticket is now a day's.

Fans of schools are still going

Casual fans stopped though sand it’s obvious with empty seats at EVERY game when the 4A game would be packed. Casual fans want to see a true championship, not the watered down playoffs.

I used to go every year and the 2nd level end zone seats were filled with casual fans. Once the split happened those seats stayed empty. I personally stopped going because the event lost a lot of the “magic” once the split happened.

Cost wouldn’t matter if the old system was in place. Once casual fans lost interest it is near impossible to get them back.

Easton killed themselves tonight with errors.

Credit to Karrs defense for playing great for the final 3 quarters

There's no reason this game shouldn't have been packed. Two local schools who are now legit rivals.
