Maybe not, but i don't know if you watched the falcons Seahawks game last week. Here are some highlights:
Seahawks first half: 0 points.
Seahawks second half: 28 points
I can say FOR SURE that there is a correlation between John Abraham's absence from the lineup and the collapse of our defense. I'm not saying with absolute certainty that Abraham's injury is the causative factor, but it would be foolish to ignore. I'm sure there were some other things going on, but having watched the game I would argue that it was the biggest reason. The pass rush in the second half was simply pitiful... and we didn't have our 35 year-old double-digit sack guy off the edge. Put two and two together.

Wilson and Seattle were movin the ball at will with Abraham in the lineup. How did you determine causation exactly?

Abraham was a non factor whether he was on the bench or in the game
Against the niners I think his absence or presence has an impact

did I just read that RG3 is the category of these guys:
Aaron Rodgers
Drew Brees
Tom Brady
Are you serious?

No, but when you're talking about the NFL QB landscape in 3 years he probably merits a mention.
Posted on 1/14/13 at 1:53 pm to DelU249
You sure he's making it 3 years? I have serious doubts

Hmmm..
The way I see it, Seahawks couldn't score a single TD with Abraham in the lineup. But in the second half when he didn't play, they got 28.

I do too but he has passing ability, it would be silly to dismiss him.
Posted on 1/14/13 at 1:56 pm to DelU249
Not really dismissing but to add his name to Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and Rodgers based on 1yr with a serious injury that will keep him out most of next year seems like a real stretch

My prediction? PAIN
31-17 Kaepernicks

Well if it helps I didn't list him with those guys, unknownknight did.

I'd argue that a big-time pass rusher always has an impact on the game when he is playing. Even if he's doing poorly and/or not putting up sacks, he still demands attention... I'll also admit that alone is not worth a 17-point differential... Sure, our defensive line wasn't doing anything special in the first half, but having seen the monumental ineptitude of our defensive line in the second half, I certainly think not having Abraham had at the very least something to do with it.
