No, clown. You had NO Clue that the Underthrow has been used for decades by WRs to get separation (or PI flags) by slamming on the brakes.

You may have played a little ball somewhere (doubt it, but maybe), but it sure as hell wasn't at WR or QB.

they aremt talling about when the reveievr has a step or 2 on ththe reciever they are talking about when there isnt a defender in 15 yards of the reciever he can basically stop catch the ball and still run in for a td.

You should probably also not throw the ball so short that they have to stop and let the defenders catch up to them.

Or instead of hitting a guy in stride throw it so he has to stop and fall out of bounds.

Of course there are countless exceptions. But the OP is about the use of the underthrow as a tactic in situations when it DOES make sense.
