The way the bullpen pitched last night, we might be better off without any current relievers seeing the field again. Time for Snit to let the starters go 9

He was a last minute contract guy too. $4.8mil.

In other news:

I want to go all in for Dallas K and bullpen. Probably not this year, but in the offseason.

Why? Who in the rotation is he so much better than to deserve the money he wants?

"We don't want to do anything rash with a TOR starter or reliever."

- Blown leads
- O'Day injury
- Minter injury
- Folty injury
- Season ending Viz injury

Kimbrel Want Intensifies

I think we land Kimbrel after the draft in June. Bowman made a good point the other day. Sign him now and it's going to be several weeks before he can debut anyways AND you will lose the draft pick. Wait until June, you don't lose that much time with him, and you keep your pick.

But the problem then lies that Kimbrel just isn't enough.

I didn't care much about Dallas this season, despite a lot of insecurity about the young arms

I can't see how he's worth going all in on next season when he's declined even further and we should have a far better sense of what our young starters are capable of

Starters go 8, Kimbrel in the 9th, avoids the middle relief trash, replenish starting rotation with prospects after starters arms fall off by seasons end.

Maybe Im thinking more about the idea of what he was vs what he would bring us.

I'd say a couple reliable BP guys that can go more than one inning when needed. Similar to Shane Carle's role last year. Snit is going to pull starters at about 100 pitches the majority of the time.

True but Kimbrel will help and he brings senior leadership into a bullpen full of young arms.

Also if the Phillies or Nats get him I'm going to breaking something
