wow the Croatians just walked off the court.

The Yugoslavian (Serbian) army had committed horrible war crimes against Croats in the latter years of the Civil War, and the hate a the time of the 1995 Euro Championships were still unbelievably strong between the two side.

It wouldnt surprise me if the Croatian government told the team to leave the medal stand.

Very powerful documentary, I am glad Petrovic's family let Divac come talk to them and visit Drazen's grave in Croatia. It had to have been really tough for Vlade to go to Croatia. He said it had been 20 years since he had been there. And the countries are as if we are talking about Mississippi to Louisiana.

I have to agree with Divac, that if they all would have stuck together and there wouldnt have been a Civil war they may could have given the Dream Team a run for their money in 1992.

I remember around 2002 we had an Albanian kid at our high school and he went to a meeting for all the exchange students in the area and nearly got in a fight with some Serbs there.

It really was. Best one since The Two Escobars IMO. Very powerful.

I especially loved the reaction shots of the Croats in the streets when Vlade came back to Croatia.

alright, pardon my ignorance (i should probably just look it up instead of asking), but wasn't croatia a republic/state in the country of yugoslavia? now yugoslavia is montenegro (sp?) while croatia is considered its own independent country? and do these countries all predominately speak Croatian?

No need to get caught up in the moment and go that far. That was the one thing in the whole documentary that was absurd. Great film, really moving.
