As of now 15 of the 32 5 star recruits have not been drafted. Including the number 1 dt and ot Marvin Wilson and Foster Sarell respectively.

What % of 3-star recruits haven't been drafted?

This is the part where some bubba comes in and thinks this means his favorite team should target all 2 and 3 star players because he don’t want no “pre Madonna” 5 star players

It's indicative of how hard recruiting is.

Nah, but sometimes I think fans get a bit over zealous on what player their team didn't sign.

That means if you were a 5-star recruit in 2017, your chances of being drafted into the NFL were greater than 50%. I'm not sure this stat says what you think it does.

Agree. Some of those players will be drafted today. Wilson was the biggest surprise to me.

I'm pretty sure it does. Not all 5 star players become superstars and are drafted early. If you can logically refute that, go ahead. My op is pointed more at recruiting than the draft.

Wow. Over half drafted already? And it’s only been 3 rds. Solid analysis considering they ranked teenagers and couldn’t account for college coaching, injury and other issues.

Marvin fricked up by not leaving last year.

the problem is, many get an extra star, because of who is recruiting them.

the one jerkoff, was telling kids he'd move them up a star or half star, if they went to Notre Dame.

I see it saying that you have a coin flip’s chance to be a drafted in the first few rounds of the NFL if you’re a five star.

A much higher chance than any other star rating.

Agree. I live in Houston and he played ball not far from me. He was one of those kids everyone liked and followed. I was hoping he would go pro last season.

Where is it written that they're all supposed to? If you're a five-star coming out of high school, your chances of playing professionally are substantially greater than a three-star. How many three-star athletes from 2017 have been drafted compared to the overall amount of three stars in that recruiting class? I'm sure it's far less than 50%.

Agree with this.

There are more 3 and 4 star players in the NFL because of volume alone.

Follow recruiting and watch the comments of fans as each 5 star signs.

So around 50% of 5 stars turn into really good/great college football players.

Around 50% of 1st Round picks will turn into really good/great NFL players.

HS talent evaluators are about as good as NFL talent evaluators.
