Reddick with engine issues. 3 of his last 4 finishes have been poor (exception being Pocono).

HMS overall had their best race in a long time outside of Larson’s mistake. Chevy needs to keep getting better in order to compete with Toyota dominance.

Its the Toyota series sponsored by Nascar.
7 of top 10 were Toyota. They ride around all day and then tuen the cheat on in last stage. They have the least cars and somehow all their drivers are finishing great.
Its the engine or ECU. I think all their engines come from same shop. Its taking the fun out of season. Lots of chatter they got something from Nascar in backroom after lawsuit was settled. Either way its turning fans away.
My guess is the ratings will be bad for this race. NOAP continues to be best racing along with Indycar. All these Toyota drivers didn’t just magically improve in off season.

The NASCAR racing product is better when Chevy and Ford can compete for wins outside of road courses.

Its kind of crazy really, Toyota can recover from mistakes and pass while other manufacturers never recover, I have to be a conspiracy nut but they did sue NASCAR and now they are the class of the field every weekend

Chevy has a new body this year. Ford is getting one next year. My theory is that Toyota works more closely with its teams than the other two. Chevy wants Hendrick to be the lead dog. Ford doesn’t really care.

100%. Like Hamlin scraping wall and still gained speed and passed 24 within 3 laps. Its like they have 100 more HP.
If it was just one team then ok, they found something. But its all Toyota teams and even their backmarkers are getting top 10’s vs big name teams
Nascar always has done shady stuff and its why they lost so many fans over the past 20 years. Lets not forget the lawsuit was settled. Takes 2 parties to settle. They gave some assurances to Toyota to settle because they were gonna lose and losing woulda been really bad.
Normally via inspections back at Nascar shop they find all advantages and leak them to keep parity. And yet this year its so obvious they are letting Toyota cheat. My guess is the engine. Maybe have a bigger spacer than others.
They want Hamlin to win the title. Or a 23x driver. Also, Hamlin has a conflict of interest yet they just ignore it. Notice all the Toyota advertising pre and during races. And all the TV folks jerking off Toyota drivers constantly.
Its money driven and lawsuit private deal too. Toyota put a lot of money into Nascar pockets for advertising and wanted assurance of payback on investment.
Its just another dagger in a long list of them.

Another note. Its the same damn drivers wrecking every damn week. Stenhouse, Nemachek and the others are always the culprits. In both NOAP and Cup, always same ones.

I think Bowman, Briscoe, Hamlin, and Blaney advance, but we are going to Atlanta. Anything can happen.
