I expect some heated conversations between a few drivers after that finish

I was too but Gray and Kvapil sounded very mature in their interviews.
Will the cup race eclipse 5 hours tomorrow?

It's probably going to be a shite show. That combined with the total cost of the weekend in SD is why I decided against going.

Went with my daughter yesterday. Was it a neat experience to see cars racing around north island, yes, but the time it took to get in, the what felt like constant yellow flag red flag racing, and limited viewing opportunities left much to be desired. Definitely preferred other tracks.

I’m here for another SVG dog walking. Hopefully Hocevar keeps it civil on the start. Lol

My last boycotted Prime race today.
Recap of yesterday. What a mess on the drain cover coming off. shite happens, but to then parade around lap after lap under yellow. But the funniest part is Nascar makes correct decision and gives Day his laps back. And then they blow it by making him have to do all the laps. He almost hit a damn safety truck because he had to make up 6 laps. All while Nascar keeps parading cars around. Why didn’t Nascar either stop all cars and make it easier - or simpler - just give him his laps! This was not a normal racing thing so why can’t they just blanket give the laps to him? And he never did all the laps he was down anyways so they ended up doing that. Manhole cover was fluke and I don’t blame Nascar. But afterwards all their decisions were dumb and dumber.
Ok, we finally got racing and its really pretty good. First time here and I thought these racers learned fast and adapted well.
Then the big one. Wall gave like it should. No issues with anything except Nascar stopped the cars in the direct sun. Coulda found a better shaded spot.
And how about the fan jumping fences and chatting up Creed. He might get a federal crime but hopefully they don’t overreact, just slap him in the wrist and move on.
And again we had a last lap pass for win. Feel bad for Taylor Gray, he had the win. He shoulda protected the inside.
All in all when they were green it was fun racing. Booth does a great job too. Was one of the longest NOAP races in history.
I expect a boring race today. I’ll catch up on social media. I expect lots of broken cars which leads to lots of yellow parade laps.
Also you can keep up with this great app called Galaxie. Has timing and scoring and lots of neat data.

quote:Even the booth was exhausted at the end. They were ready to the checkered flag. What helped save the broadcast during those long reds were the segments about the naval base and the beautiful scenery around the track. I thought all that military history was neat. I went down a rabbit hole looking up all the CVs and CVNs. One will be delivered to the Navy March of 2027.

So far, so good
Lap 4 lots of passing
SVG may have an issue, he is down to 3rd
12 and 77 have both passed him for the lead
3 got turned around and behind is way behind

Bubba is charging through the field right now. Best car on the track, if not for that mistake he’d be in contention

I like how they get a little air coming down that hill.

These guys gotta take a dive for Bubba on Juneteenth weekend, right?

I don’t think they could go in any harder rooting for #23 there.
