I’m excited San Diego is finally here.
Also, Supercars driver Matt Payne was supposed to drive at Sonoma for Childress. He drives for a ford team in Australia. That team blocked him from doing that.
He’s heavily rumored to be a Chevrolet driver after this year with eyes on nascar. He’s only 23-24 I think. He’s solid.

No. Team 18 in Supercars. That’s the #1 Chevy team. They’re trying to sign an ace driver since their top team switched to ford this year. Him being a Chevy guy would make nascar an easier transition. Ford does not have a path for him.

You misread. Would he go to 48 car possibly?

Not quite yet, we still have Pocono this weekend.

No. Hendrick wouldn’t be interested at this point.

Did they sing o canada before the race?
Yes. They do that at Michigan and at Watkins Glen since both race tracks are not far from the Canada and lots of Canadians come across to watch the race at both tracks.

I wasn’t aware of the fire. Recall the man running across though.

Green flag for ARCA race at Pocono moved 10 minutes earlier to 3:05p ET (engines fired at 2:55p ET) with the threat of rain this afternoon. FS1 coverage starts at 3p ET.

Interesting, one team running 3 different car makers
Happened a bunch in the early days of Cup. Most recently Negre Racing ran a Chevrolet, Dodge and Chrysler on 9/17/1978

I just saw your favorite DEI Arca driver Spurlock finished dead last in the 24 car field after crashing out within the first ten laps.

Creed ruined his teammates chance to beat Allgaier on that final restart. If I were Mayer, I’d be angry and ready to sucker punch Sheldon.

Creed is the worst driver/finisher. He cost his old teammate a title too. He is selfish and wrecks a lot of cars. Typical Creed after he screws teammate he overdrives turn 1 and washes up.
And Taylor Gray has such bad luck with drivers wrecking him. Today it was Byron. I imagine JGR isn’t happy after last week cup wreck with Bell.

Mayer was going to win that race if Creed didn’t take it 3 wide into turn one and pull right in front of Mayer after getting bumped by crews. He had a faster car than Allgaier.
NASCAR needs to change how the caution laps affect the overall race. The stage 1 and 2 breaks eat up 5 laps each so it makes for much shorter stages. So a stage length of 30 laps is only 25 now. It sucks for the fans that a fifth or more of the race today was run under caution laps. I get that you can’t do anything about cautions caused by crashes, but they could come up with something to deal with the multiple stage break caution laps that steal from actual racing laps.
