Just stupid, this car is killed practice for all
Jeff Gluck
@jeff_gluck
Daniel Suarez had a flat tire in practice and stopped on the track. NASCAR would not put a new tire on the car, per policy. They wanted to tow it. Spire didn't want them to (would tear up the car). So now Suarez is backing up around the track and driving backward to pit road.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Gabehart inside info must have been good. I welcome our new spire overlords.

Not quite as action packed at the trucks but a good race.
The Larson, Crews, Zilisch 3 wide was pretty sweet.

I thought it was a great race. Lots of action but the booth really keeps adding great play by play as well. They actually care about calling races and let their emotions run wild. Cup is just bland in the booth.
And these cars are so awesome! You could put all Cup drivers in these cars and it would still be fun - but maybe a bit less because they take less risks.
I love these young drivers taking risks. Some are dumb but who cares it makes for fun viewing. Like the first 12 laps were mostly run under caution because of two wrecks. Same as last year. One would think drivers would tip toe thru the start but nope, these drivers don’t give a flip. They race from green flag. That makes it fun and unpredictable.
And the 3 wide where Larson squeezed thru. Man that was awesome. And Justin could have moved Larson but didn’t . He has a big points lead plus its team car. But he got to Larson.
Great race and Sunday will be a snoozefest is my guess.

Will they make enough changes or just token ones as per usual? Every single driver hates it. But they have to be careful how outspoken they are due to sponsors and Nascar. Seems more are starting to speak

Subplot for next week. SVG drives the 9 car and now loses pit selection. Its a team penalty not a driver one. Won’t likely matter but we’ll see.

What a shitshow for some cars on pit road. Logano is out from his collision with Custer.

Glad to see Chase win. But they should have thrown the caution coming to the white flag.

I was very surprised they didn’t throw the caution flag at the end. Often they are too aggressive but not with Chase in the lead! Granted I like Chase and didn’t have a problem with it.
I also don’t understand why a poster kept saying Alan G needs to be fired. He’s still one of the best.

Good race. I rank them
1. NOAP
2. Trucks
3. Cup
Track position was key. Chase won this race early. There was a restart in stage 1 and he got 4 tires. Started around 12th. He ended up behind Hamlin who was mired with cars ahead of him. At that moment Chase dove low and passed 4 cars in the turns. That got him ahead of the logjam. Then he kept position and kept slowly moving to lead. Hamlin had to keep fighting all those cars he never got by all day.
Then the final restart Chase and Hamlin had great pushes but Chase was great on the bottom all race long and just cleared Hamlin out of turn 2. The last spin likely should have been a cation but Chase had the best car most of the day.
I’ve noticed he’s taken more risks and been aggressive this year and its paying off. Even Dega in that train last lap he made a dart to and then down coming to flag and got 4th. Most years don’t see that but it netted 2 spots.
And man was pit road a mess today.
Points (wish they’d list top 5 and top 10 finishes)

At some point would they just let him go after season? I like Kyle but he needs to chill a bit
