Exactly. What they do now is use positions 11-20 for ads so you rarely see who is running below top 10. Its all about ads. Mini pop ups in that bottom section of running order.
Side note: Jamie L is great in pits but sucks in trucks booth.

I would not cit off Rowdy today. He will not tolerate it too long.
Where do you run top or bottom?
Top is usually the preferred lane in Cup. But if wrecks happen they always collect top cars
Bottom is less fast. But if wrecks happen you can move down to avoid it. Bottom can go better if enough cars form. But you can get hung out when 3 lanes form up

I hate these in race interviews they shrink the main TV focus which is the race. I can catch those afterwards. Or they could just do sound.

Best strategy is to hang out back until it’s time to go. I know it’s all about stage points but it’s also about survival.
