The convertible Gullwing Toto had to get push started on DTS was pretty for sure.

Don't hate the player. Hate the game.

I’ll be alright with that. Hope it’s competitive all season.
I’m sure the races will be better than what we’ve seen so far but I still think it’s a dumb formula.

Hope Ferrari is up there.

Going to be annoying if there’s a huge gap in the schedule thanks to the Middle East.

I’m sure the midfield will be interesting thanks to all the chaos of adapting to this formula. So that’s always something to watch for.

First Lando and now George

9 months of....

It's just the car
Undeserving champion
Anyone could win in that car
Not even a top driver
This dominance will kill the sport
Mercedes showing bias

Dan Patrick dubbed it "Over-reaction Monday" after week 1 of the NFL.
Exactly was I was thinking of, and we haven’t gotten to Monday yet. Even if Merc dominates tonight, it’s a long season, and we know the engine temp/compression rules will change halfway thru.

Also it seems George has taken his second "energy store" of the season.

Could be nothing but you are only allowed 2 on the year. So if he needs another one it is a 10 place grid penalty.

Anyone know if Finn McCools in NOLA put the race on?

I disagree but I understand everyone has their interest in what style of competition they like

If you mean passes numbing compromised, Indy doesn’t have DRS. They have boost, but you can use it to defend or attack. You only have a certain amount of boost for the race

F1 moved to that this year. They power gets refreshed each lap though.

Would you mind elaborating on this? I’m unfamiliar

The energy store is the battery, and some associated parts.

They are allowed 2 a year (per car) without penalty. They can also swap them in and out. So maybe the plan is to use one for quali and one for race. Not sure how the parc ferme rules treat that.

Could be a situation where they take both in round 1 so the next time they take one the penalty can be served. Imagine next round in Japan that George has an issue in quali and starts dead last. He can take an additional energy store and the penalty has no impact. Then he has 3 on hand to use.

Looks like AppleTV will have some multi-view options. One of the defaults is the main feed on the left and then P1, P2, and P3 onboards on top of each other on the right. Pretty cool.
