The main thing I took from yesterday is that Prado is going to be a problem.

Prado did better than he has, but I need to see him win races before I put him down as a championship contender. Others that have a better chance than Prado to win:

Hunter - clearly the most solid right now, in the second moto after Prado passed him he just took it back
Jett - first race back after a bad injury, a great result, he knows how to win and he is going to get better
Chase - he flashed the speed that he has, he can run with the best Hunter or Jett can do, he just has to stop crashing
Deegan - if he gets a start and is running next to Prado I will take Deegan in that dogfight

I’ve seen Prado win the MXGP championship twice.

Yeah, …and….? The MXGP is no longer what it once was. The days of DeCoster, Mikkola, Robert, Weil, Jonsson, …that won MXGP and then came and beat the Americans,,,,,are long gone.

I thought RV would have had a cake walk over there.

Hangtown up next, really like the elevation changes in this track. The new dirt they brought in the last few years does seem to make for less ruts, what do you all think?

How good is Jett Lawrence? Generational talent.

It is amazing that he is that much better than every other rider. In the second moto midway through he has Hunter right on him, and he just decides to wick it up,….rolls away from Hunter and it looks so smooth…insane.

As usual, very impressed with both Lawrence guys. I dont know how Jett is riding so well. Dude can barely walk. I am wondering how far into the season he can go with that foot. Hopefully he doesnt have to quit. Seems like they said he is barely practicing during the week to give the foot a break

Not a fan of Deagan but Im impressed with his so far in the 450's. He is smoking guys that have won championships and been there for a while. He is obviously the read deal and will be a threat as he gets more confortable on the big bike

Big question is, how much patience does the Monster Energy team has with Sexton at this point. Dude is so talented but he stil has a major mental block and its not really getting any better. Crashed twice, both times self inflicted, in the first moto and he just seems to quit when he gets behind. Im not saying he is a quitter but he doesn't seem to have the fire to compete sometimes

Coenen bros. 1-1s in MXGP last weekend, get on a plane and gonna lineup this weekend against a bunch of strangers that would probably rather risk an ambulance ride than lose to them. 2 red plate holders laying it on the line for the love of racing

Lucas could probably take it on the chin but lil bro seems to have only one gear. WFO, win or crash. The balls on those guys is impressive.

Yeah, I am interested to see how the Coenen brothers do in the US races, they have been impressive in the MXGP races I have watched online.
