Gotta cater to that vast Mexican-American NASCAR audience, right?

6 is perfect for a 36 race schedule.
Agree. When it used to just be 2, that was bad as teams didn’t want to invest in getting better vs the cost tradeoff. 6 is enough to make it worthwhile.
Schedule wise, teams have to spend way more money to travel to Cali plus put crews up in hotels. Vs being in the south regions closer to home bases. They are not getting increased revenues from nascar to offset as most money comes from sponsors and nascar gets the TV money. I lived in San Diego for a few years and its just an odd place to put a race.

NASCAR has chased a foothold in California, particularly Southern California, like a wino chases Ripple for three generations now, it’s nothing new.

Riverside, O Riverside, we long for your glory days.

Riverside was a bad-arse track. I have a book that's a history of every race held at Riverside, from F1 to stockers. It's one of the prizes of my racing book collection.

Everybody who was anybody raced at Riverside. NASCAR, Can-Am, Trans-Am, FIA sports cars, every open-wheel series in America, you name it.

Yall see the Joe Gibbs engineer selling secrets or something to other teams?

And Childress is the team that bought them.

Since they use different engines, what do you think it is? Chassis or aero?

I think it’s a combo of both. Since this came out, I look back at that Richmond race…. And thought Dillon’s car was uncharacteristically fast. Dillon has had good runs there in the past, but never challenged for the win. His car just had so much grip.

The France's trying to teach those 32 teams a lesson.

Who is right and who is wrong here? We all complain about how nascar is run… but what happens when you sue your superiors?
This is all insane.
This is all insane.

They are punishing 23XI, making sure the other teams don't get uppity.
Back in the day, if teams/drivers raced in a rival series, NASCAR wouldn't let them run in their events.

How y’all feel about this?
Its a lose lose deal.
I hate how nascar is run. But I also hate that 23X is partly owned by another driver from another team. And I hate how TV and nascar pimp Bubba as some great driver when he’s a backmarker in the best equipment.
If 23X wins it destroys the series. I mean, charter members helped grow the sport before charters. They have skin in the game. 23X is just throwing money at it trying to ruin it by hurting those who helped build it
If nascar wins, well they are 8 out of 10 on the way to destroying it. But at least charters add some value to those who earned it and garantees them a spot each week
I see no winners only losers and more losers. Right now 23X has no charters since they didn’t sign and will not have spots if they qualify bad next year
Hey, you asked :)

Saw that. Fabricator contractors are licking their chops, and are gonna make so much money next year.

A true southern sport which had massive viewership and loyal fans then. Now it seems they are putting races in Dem strongholds (cities run by Dems) and other locations run by Dems. And we wonder why the sport has gone downhill. A 3rd Gen series owner is the one putting the final nail in coffin.
why see the cheap knockoff when the real thing is 90 minutes north (Long Beach)
