I don't think that pole speed is as meaningful as you think. It's not like it used to be, they don't get two laps like they used to so they aren't fully up to speed for their "fast" lap if that makes sense

Purely speculating but I think it's gotten to the point where most fans are ok with the playoff system but they wish it didn't come down to one single race at the end. Would be better if they could somehow make the final round be over 3 races or even 2 if that's the best they could do

About ten seconds before the wreck I was thinking if my guy was running outside the top 5 I'd tell him to back out of it and let the rest of the idiots destroy their junk.
