South Plaquemines 20
Logansport 14

Logansport coach pulled his team off the field and didn’t shake hands after the game. Not sure what happened but seemed unnecessary. The players that were on the field when the clock hit zero exchanged pleasantries and it didn’t seem like anything extra had been going on. Wonder what happened

I don’t have the stats but my guess would be Catholic had more yards and first downs

Maybe so, but stats don’t win the game (not trying to be a smart arse).

For much of the game Karr was getting sacked and moving backwards
Maybe I was watching a different game, but it didn’t look that way to me. At least not as much as you might be implying. At times I’d agree, but for the most part I’d say otherwise.

Fuller has just been playing with fire all year 4th downs, trick plays, stuff like that, and it came back to bite him in the arse when you’re playing a team as stacked as Karr.

Final Score

The Franklinton Demons are going back to the SuperDome in New Orleans.

I’m so happy for Coach Salt doing something that few if any have done… three different schools in the Dome (and three schools with a a degree of difficulty to get there)… he’s truly one of the Louisiana coaching greats of our generation and I’m glad we had him if only briefly

He had to do all that… nobody in this state is beating Karr straight up

Except Catholic likely would have won if he played straight up

The fake punt fiasco was by far the difference in the game

Every trick and fake play failed and yet Catholic lost by only 2 . He went in thinking he needed to run the whirly bird playbook and never adjusted even when Catholic had the lead and control

Franklinton is a cool little town. Love passing through there on my way to the hunting camp. Congrats to them

St aug would have several titles since 79 and a handful of other teams come to think of it.

Honestly thought our season was over before it started!!! The starting rb, qb, and another were involved in a car wreck the day before the first game of the season!!!

For them to have come this far is amazing!!!

I don’t really get to watch them much during the regular season, but I’m not impressed with him as a coach.

I played under Weiner and we had trick plays that he’d pull out the bag from time to time and they just worked well for us 9 times out of ten. Were they better designed/timed or better executed? I don’t know, but nearly every time I see Fuller use one it seems to be at the wrong time or he’s too smart by half trying to use one.

VCs QB broke Ju Juan Johnson’s TD record tonight. That didn’t last long.

I think it was probably meant to be that we had to play the #1 seed in the dome. Personally I was hoping that Iowa would advance.

No disrespect to Franklinton or Coach Salt but Iowa for their first championship game appearance would have been a better feel good story IMO.
