Since they just repaved it they had a great opportunity to put in some drain tile.

I'd like for the stewards to note that not only did I not show up prepared for hail, I did not show up prepared for live reporting. With those factors included I would like to ask the stewards to realize I drank until 1am EST and am suffering for up to 1 hour of jet lag.

Ms (notable lack of the R) FT pretty much makes sure I am able to make these events and even let me take a fair pelting of hail before calling me a dumb arse and making me retreat to coverage.

I'll see if I can get the video of me fighting mother nature

Stewards have taken note of your protest and reduced your penalty from a 10 to 5 second penalty, but it will cost you 2 points on your super license.

The stewards have determined there will be no further investigation

Yesterday Jacques absolutely roasted Danny Ric on a spit, and didn't even give him credit for his good years in F1.

I saw some comments that people were happy to finally hear someone on Sky Sports say something critical of Danny.

For some perspective, before the 2024 season even started, Jacques ranted about Danny, saying the exact same thing. (I think I posted a link earlier in this thread.) So he didn't even need the evidence of the first eight races of 2024 to confidently conclude that Danny is only in F1 now because of his marketing appeal, and that he should go home.

He also gave KMAG hell for the wreck with PER in Monaco. Said it was 100% his fault.

He's not wrong...

If Danny wasn't such a likeable and marketable guy, he would have been out long ago. I'd say DTS is to blame for this.

Marketable drivers are another revenue stream for teams. You can put any driver you want in the VCARB car and their results won't change much.

What does a team gain by losing 20MM in marketable sales to bring in a new driver that won't change their finishing positions much.

Not arguing… he’s a cash cow for them, but not a good driver at this point.

OK, but I'm not sure how sound your logic is with the evidence we have so far. If they had two Danny-level drivers, VCARB would have around 10 points and struggling to keep Haas behind them, but if they had two Yuki-level drivers, they would be very close to Aston Martin in points. Two good drivers vs two mediocre drivers is a potential difference of two places in the WCC for VCARB. Makes me wonder where they would be if they had Lawson this year.
