If you give sainz a penalty then Hamilton needs one as well.

I understand Sainz is pissed that he doesn't have a job next year yet, but he was way too agressive there.

Haven't seen quali highlights yet, but just read that Alonso was given a 10 second penalty for the contact with Sainz in the Sprint Race???

What a fricking joke. That was a racing incident and Alonso got the worst of it.

Fun, but in the end, despite the chaotic sprint qualy, it was the top four teams scoring all the points, in almost exactly the expected order (RBR, Ferrari, McLaren, Merc). The only outlier was Lewis in P2 instead of P7/8. It would have been cool to see Zhou get a point, but he never really had a chance, as he finished 6s behind P8.

It's good for Lewis that he got those 7 pts because he totally botched Q1. He said he made some big setup changes for qualy. butwhy.gif

Earlier in this thread I suggested Danny should beat Yuki by at least 0.3s because of his vast experience here (eight full race weekends) vs Yuki's one hour of track time before sprint qualy, and less than two hours of track time before qualy. And in Q1 Danny beat him by exactly 0.303s Unfortunately, his time to shine came in the same weekend that Haas and Sauber are going faster than RB. But with Hamilton botching qualy, Stroll being unimpressive as usual, and one Haas and one Sauber ahead of him, Danny easily has his best chance to score points this season from P12.

Speaking of that hack Stroll, someone asked him point blank on camera if he is driving for Aston Martin next year, and he couldn't/wouldn't say yes or no. Any theories on why he's not answering the question, since we are supposed to assume that he has the seat if he wants it? So far it supports my theory that Honda would only make a works deal if AM agreed to maximize every area of the team, and the reason Lance has not been confirmed yet, may be that AM is looking into other drivers since so many are out of contract this year. Also, I saw a video (I can't remember from who) where a guy said that he thought both Honda and Aramco would demand that AM maximize every area of the team.

Unfortunately Formula1 does not allow video embeds, so I think it will be impossible to embed any current-season race action like race highlights. There are so many hacks posting F1 "analysis" and commentary, I don't know what current content would be good to post. Peter Windsor?

Edit: Wow, F1 is blocking all F1 content from being embedded no matter who is posting it. I guess we won't be seeing any actual race action.
