Rumor was that Fritz, Tiafoe, Paul, and Sock didn't want to dilute the prize money winnings with an additional player.
Honestly, the only Top 10 player right now that I would consider genuinely unlikeable is Holger Rune. But he's a great player (usually) and might be the villain tennis needs in this generation.

I do wonder what goes through his head sometimes to want to argue so much on here. It was a long, but great day out there. The roof being closed saved me from dying. I wish Shelton could have been a little sharper, but that's the Nole meat grinder.
I'll be back home for the finals. Hopefully, Med is still razor sharp in a couple of days.

I think the Open is one of the best sporting events, at least the first week/Rounds 1-4. Seems like later in the tourney you get spoiled fans who just want to see the stars, and not as many of the fans who just want to watch 6-12 straight hours of world class tennis all over the complex.
