For a while, Logano was the one I couldn’t stand the most. Hamlin has by far dethroned that honor from Logano.

“NASCAR will review the actions and comments from Denny Hamlin on his podcast, regarding his run-in with Ross Chastain in overtime on Sunday.”

They need Chase back. And to stop catering to woke fans who are not loyal. They lost 591K year over year same race. Where are those woke fans they cater too?

@FoxTV earned a 1.93 rating and 3.4 million viewers for Sunday's NASCAR race at Phoenix, down from a 2.33 rating + 3.991 million viewers last year.

@NASCAR remains in talks with Chevy/Toyota/Ford on a potential electric vehicle exhibition, and
@GM vice president Jim Campbell (@CampbellJim) says the race "would provide an opportunity for EV learning on track."
The exhibition could happen as soon as next year.

This makes more sense why penalty for wheel coming off when it was first reported to still be on and maybe a bad wheel. Loose lug caused the whole problem.
“What happened with Almirola wheel Sunday: There is a bolt on the bottom of the front lower control arms that is close to the wheel near the inner tire bead. When wheel isn’t tight, the wheel moves under load to rub on this bolt and the bolt completely cut through the inner rim.”

Not trying to be an arse but you mention or talk about this almost every week. I get it. I miss NASCAR from 25-30+ years ago but the sport is what it is now. It’s not perfect and there are some things that I really don’t like but I still love it.

Yeah, I agree… When you really think about it, a lot of early Logano hate stemmed from things that really weren’t in his control. He has a ratty and disingenuous look on his face at all times, a terribly nasally New England accent, and a hovering arse dad. All three things are huge turn offs to Southerners.

Everybody says that he is one of the nicest people to meet outside the track. Denny seems like an arse inside and outside the track

Of course it will never go back to what it was. I just want the woke crap to go away. And eventually they will end up getting smaller TV deals as they shed fans and lose viewers. It is good to keep the pressure on them. I’ve written Nascar about it but never got a response. But I’m sure there are others and the declining numbers will eventually get their attention. Sponsors want viewers for the ad dollars bith on cars and TV. At least I’m trying no matter how small it seems. I won’t ever let up on wokeness shaming

Chase Milquetoast Elliot isn't why the viewership is down.

Agree partially. I assume the ratings is when at peak per race and the races are sleeping pills until the manufacfured late race cautions. To me going west coast swing right after biggest race of year is dumb. Your core fans are not out west and you lose all momentum. Then boring races.
Now finally headed back east. Wonder if it helps or if they lost permanent fans?

Logano is a really good dude off of the track.
And a great personality.

Could be totally off here, but I think the idea is to avoid the frequent spring rainfall events and occasional snow storm on the east coast.

Yeah, I think that is the main point it behind it.

I don’t think I could take that.
The dishonesty about EVs being better for the environment makes me sick.
