Pretty massive undercut on the sidepods.

The edges on the floor will be interesting to watch this year. How each team tries to trap the air.

I tried the Ringer F1 Show and it was two chicks that have been watching for like 1.5 years. Terrible.

In fairness, this is Kevin Clark's podcast but he has been on and off on his pods as he just had a kid. I'd suggest sticking with it.

If you want super technical type talk, then the Ringer F1 pod may not be for you. But I'm a fan of Kevin Clark, he just makes pods interesting and keeps it light. So if you're looking for something a bit more relaxed, I'd say keep tuning in for when Kevin Clark returns.

Ringer is better when Kevin Clark is hosting, and he usually brings Spanners from Missed APex on as a guest.

Yep, I'm listening to the most recent one now. There is a girl filling in for Kevin Clark, but she's on with Spanners which makes it solid.

Wow, those bottom edges look like a sure fire tire sidewall cutting tool. Like arrowheads sticking out to prevent cars from rubbing them on inside corners or risk cut tires? It might be the sun or angles but the bottom edge looks pretty jagged.

Ferrari SF-23 changes compared to last year:

- new front suspension geometry
- new sidepod inlets
- new halo winglet
- new mirrors
- new cooling slots
- slimmer rear end

There appears to be a vertical duct hidden in the dark shadow underneath the sidepod inlet. Only visible if you brighten up the images a lot.

Speculation:

How can someone watch F1 events? I only have streaming services and I’ve been told to check it out since it is some really good racing.

ESPN - races are Sundays. check out the qualifying events on Saturdays as well

The ESPN app on a smart TV will have replays of everything if you search by sport.

Formula 1 is widely considered the pinnacle of motorsport worldwide.

Enjoy!

ESPN carries the races. I also subscribe to F1TV as well. They have some interesting pre and post race shows and I can't stand Crofty (British frick on SkyTV which is what ESPN broadcasts) so often watch the F1TV feed of the race with their announcers.

Well it’s one way to save weight. Only paint a little and leave the rest as carbon

I like the black cars. It's basic, but it's slick.

https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.pirelli-confirm-tyre-choices-for-first-three-f1-races-of-2023-as-new.1xlpcTVaLqw0NeM3aYoyCt.html

quote:

Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli have announced the compounds that will be used at the Bahrain, Saudi Arabian and Australian Grands Prix, as the start of the 2023 season draws ever closer…

As per 2022, the Italian manufacturer will pick three compounds to be used at each event across the 23-race calendar, taking into account a wide range of track characteristics and climates.

However, for this year, a new compound has been added to the mix, meaning Pirelli now have six options – ranging from the softest C5 tyre to the hardest C0.

Last year’s C1 has become the C0, and is now the hardest tyre in the range, while the 2023-spec C1 is an all-new product that slots between the previous C1 and C2.

As shown in the image gallery above, the C1, C2 and C3 compounds have been chosen for the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix, while the C2, C3 and C4 compounds will feature in Saudi Arabia and Australia.

At every Grand Prix, the softest compound in use will be marked red, the medium compound marked yellow and the hardest compound marked white.

One thing F1 has going for it is pretty reliable tires. You rarely see a flat caused by wear its usually car debris or contact related.

Adding another tire to the mix I assume they did ample testing for reliability. The more tire types means its harder for teams to plan ahead which is actually a good thing.
