Did Yuki pit for softs to get a fast lap?
Yup, stole it from his teammate, but at least he can get the fast-lap point!

Damn was hoping Ric could hold onto fastest lap. Just for the sake of my preseason predictions

During the 2nd stint, I thought Lando had a chance to fight for the win. I was paying too much attention to the mid field so I don't know how he ended up P3.

Imagine paying $2000 for the Grandstand and having this lady shove her hand in your face

Is there anything that officially tracks pit stop performance? It seems Mercedes regularly has 3+ second stops while the teams they’re competing against are all 2+ seconds.
I haven’t found anything official, but did find these pit stop standings on planetF1 LINK
Red Bull – 436
Ferrari – 360
McLaren – 307
AlphaTauri – 180
Alpine – 168
Aston Martin – 110
Mercedes – 74
Williams – 36
Alfa Romeo – 34
Haas – 12

It seems like they were planning for 1 stop, then panicked when people on new tires were going faster and switched to 2 stop.

Gasly casually drops a frick during post race interview.
Buxton is horrified.

Big news: Leclerc and Hamilton's cars have failed a post-race plank check. The matter has been referred to the stewards - but this is usually a DSQ... #F1 #USGP
Would bump sarge to tenth and his first point!

They inspect every car after the race.

Leclerc and Hamilton are in trouble for plank wear violations. There's not really much to argue about if they were found to be under 9mm. The interesting thing is that on a sprint weekend you get 1 session to set up the cars. You don't get good tyre OR plank wear data.

Does the bumpy track have something to do with more than anticipated wear on the plank?

They have to raise the car to avoid excessive wear.
Supposedly that is why the RB wasn't as dominant as usual today.
eta-I recall the pitbox telling Max to lift through Eau Rouge in the past to avoid excessive wear.

The outcome will be a disqualification. It's the same as not having enough fuel for a fuel sample. It's very likely to have come from setup ride height. One off kerb rides or heavy impacts don't tend to wear out the specific area of the Titanium skids.
Ex Red Bull engineer saying this
Max and lando were also checked.
